So the solution to the horse meat scandal is simple. Put equine burgers on sale and let Mr Paterson be the first to consume one in public. A celebrity chef could champion equine burgers and, hey presto, everyone would be happy again. They would be much cheaper than beef burgers because there are lots of old nags out there ready for the knacker’s yard. Horse breeding would have a new lease of life.

  1. Regardless the acceptance or abhorrence to the idea of eating horse meat. There lies at the heart of this topic a simple matter that so many in America cannot or refuse to grasp. The far reaching implications of Codex Alimentarius and the ability of any one Nation governed under its authority to make their own decisions regarding their food and their originating sources. Not only do we have to contend with the greed and duplicitous actions of Organizations such as the FDA and USDA. Not to mention the poisons added to said foods for the benefit of the financial benefactors of these organizations . We will lose all right to decide for ourselves as a Nation the ability to choose what foods will be allowed in our National food supply..

Rather than learn from what has happened in Europe it has been simpler to turn a blind eye and convince themselves , it could never happen here.

    • Thanks These aree interesting points, lots of bloggers are announcing these things about the Codex Alimentarius, could every state in the US be like every country in Europe? The reasonI ask is before the Euro food accepted in each country was more varied than it is today. For example in Holland Fructose went in drinks and here in Europe this was not the case. In France you could buy beer in the petrol pump too.
